ParenTeen Seminars

ParenTeen Seminars equip parents to both understand and nurture their children in a constantly changing cultural environment. Tailored to the specific issues and needs of a community or hosting organization, ParenTeen Seminars are guarenteed to help parents gain insight into their child's journey, and to develop a more authentic and effective parenting strategy throughout the teen years and beyond.

»COMMUNITY PARENTEENSEMINAR«

ParenTeen is designed to offer the insights from the latest research as well as help prepare parents of any religious or ideological viewpoint what teenagers need in our highly fragmented cultural climate. Although the community-based seminar may be sponsored by a church or a group of churches or parachurch organizations (as is often the case), the seminar itself is presented for all adults who care for kids, and will not present any material that is religiously insensitive to those who do not come from a Christian perspective.

»CHURCH-BASED PARENTEEN SEMINAR«

The Church-Based seminar is specifically focused on what it means to see parenting as stewardship from God. The focus will be on how God is calling parents to respond to their children in a highly secular and fragmented culture, what biblical discipleship looks like during the teen years, and how parents who have an authentic faith have the best chance of leading their children into a lifetime of commitment to God and his kingdom work. The church-based seminar may be limited to a single church, or may be offered for several churches collaborating.

»WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING «

"Anyone having contact with adolescents should take advantage of this valuable seminar. [The presenter] has a wealth of knowledge about adolescent culture and invites the audience into relevant discussions about how to better support, parent, and minister to today’s adolescents.” Vaughn Jost-Youth Pastor

"[The speaker] mixes hard data with real life illustrations, practical strategies with abstract concepts, and hope with the realism of an ever changing adolescent culture. The seminars are interactive, visual and stimulating. This is great education and ministry."
-Michele Hershberger, Youth Ministry Professor

"For the past two years, Chap Clark has come to the small eastern North Carolina town of Washington to impart practical truths about culture and teenage development which carry as much weight and relevance in rural NC as they do in urban LA. His ability to communicate substantive content over the course of a weekend to a wide audience of teens, young parents and empty nesters has led to year round conversations about the challenges of adolescence and the response of adults. Terms like 'convergence' and 'individuation' were foreign to the discourse of concerned parents until Chap clearly expounded on the lengthy adolescent quest for identity and purpose and the crying need for adults to be safety nets, sounding boards, and pro-active resources in the lives of the next generations." -Jay Martin, Sr. Pastor, First Presbyterian Church, Washington, NC
