My son struggled with drugs & alcohol for 2 yrs & I became consumed with trying to help. he is now living with his father, doing better & I feel left behind, trying to deal with all of the "Aftermath" of those 2 yrs & how it tore us apart. How do I reconnect with my son long distance to work through all of this?

We need pilot DVD. We would also be interested in hosting a seminar for my church our Deanery or the wider community.

I just finished reading "Disconnected." Thank you for giving permission to live in tension; for not given 5 easy steps. You have encouraged and normed what I see many parents struggle with, and you have given insight into the very different world of teenagers. Thank you.

Chap - I think you'll really enjoy what Newt Gingrich has to say about Adolescence. (Never thought he'd be speaking so directly to a youth ministry-related topic. Check it out: http://newt.org/tabid/217/a rticleType/ArticleView/articleI d/3428/Default.aspx#comme nts

I was wondering if you could recommend one of your books that would deal with teens who habitually lie--also a book that deals with teens and materialism. Thank you.
